cherished condolences is a visual project about the role of women in society, with a visual expression about the true emotional state of women being suppressed by society's expectations.

to represent, how women truly feel, the exhibits are based on five out of the six basic emotions every human being has - sadness, fear, anger, surprise and happiness. 

even tho the "trümmerfrauen" changed the classical roles of women in the society through their impactful work after the second world war in germany, the americanization and westernization in the 1950s had the bigger influence and led back to the typical way women were treated by the society. because of this, 

cherished condolences is inspired by iconic female personalities from the 1950s, who still have an impact on women nowadays.
